Capstone Projects

YES Abroad students Abigail, Isabella, Lane and Rachel are coming close to the final days of the exchange year.

In addition to excelling in the local community and creating bonds with their host families and friends, coupled by academic commitment and success, the exchange students dove deeper into the local culture and selected a topic based on their passions and local experience to create their 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬.

Projects were presented on May 30 at the American Corner Skopje in front of US Embassy Representatives, host families and AC North Macedonia staff. Ranging from coffee culture, to youth attitudes, public art all the way to computer science pipeline, the attendees had the chance to look at these topics and cultural aspects from a different angle and learn even more.

Kudos to the YES Abroad students for the successful year and we cannot wait to see how they will share this experience with the world.
