YES Abroad students visited the U.S. Embassy in North Macedonia

On March 2nd, 2022 YES Abroad students together with the U.S. Fulbrighters group had the privilege to visit the U.S. Embassy in North Macedonia. The Ambassador, Mrs. Kate Byrnes introduced herself and welcomed them all. Students and scholars had the opportunity to meet each other and exchange experiences and ideas.

Hyniff Collins, YES Abroad student, stated:

"The visit to the embassy was one of shock. I truly was in awe when I saw the building and the people that help represent the government of the United States. It inspired me and made me feel like that could be me one day."

Filip Trajkovski, YES Abroad Assistant, shared:

"Meeting the Ambassador of the United States was a very special occasion for all of us. My journey as a YES Alum has been full of experiences on the International stage, and this visit just took that experience to a completely new level. I have always devoted myself to representing my country in the best light possible and by meeting Mrs. Byrnes, who does that on a very professional level, I was able to understand how important the exchange programs are to sharing our cultures and growing as young people who will one day carry the weight of the World on our shoulders."
