Celebrating the YES 20th Anniversary

What do you do when somebody offers you the opportunity to participate in highly valuable training sessions meant for your career development and personal growth? You grab on the opportunity and learn. That is what we did during the weekend period in the month of May as part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the YES Program.
The YES 20th anniversary celebration was a great event for networking amongst the Alumni community, as well as other guests that have not participated in Alumni events before. The celebration included two main workshops in the capital city of N. Macedonia, Skopje. The first one being with Dr.Sam Potolicchio and the second one executed by our Country Representative Zdenka Nikolovska.
Both workshops were focused on self growth and leadership. The participants had a great opportunity to listen and collaborate with Dr. Potolicchio, who talked about leadership, perception, strong characteristics of leaders and much more. Ms. Nikolovska focused on SDI Core Strengths, about finding yourself, dealing with “difficult people” and improving communication and conflict management skills. What stood out during her training was the explanation for different approaches to different people, since everyone had different core strengths and ways of managing conflict.
All participating Alumni were reminded of their contributions and achievements during the whole YES experience, while on program and after.
Mihaela Miladinoska ‘20 stated: “Participating in these high quality workshops is a great privilege for professional development as well as networking with like-minded people”
The 20th anniversary of the YES Program serves as a powerful reminder of how far an idea can go, and how one idea can turn many strangers into real friends, partners and colleagues!
