Meet the Volunteers and Loesje Campaign
On June 24, Isidora Stefanoska '22 and YES volunteer Elina Nuredini organized an event where YES program alumni and volunteers gathered for an event filled with games, networking and project collaboration. Through engaging activities, participants reconnected, shared experiences, and worked on future initiatives. There were 18 participants from which 7 were alumni.
Same day, Isidora Stefanoska '22 organized a campaign in collaboration with alumni from Kosovo, Bosnia, Bulgaria to share quotes as a Loesje Campaign. Loesje is a Dutch organization known for creating thought-provoking posters with witty slogans on social issues. Their aim is to stimulate critical thinking and promote dialogue, using creativity and humor as their tools. 11 volunteers from Skopje gave out the quotes to people walking in the square. Some of the quotes were: "Empathy is how kind hearts breathe", "If you want to change the world start by changing your own light bulb", "The longer you wait for the future the shorter it would be".
