YES Abroad cohort visit to Struga and Vevchani

Our 2024-2025 YES-Abroad North Macedonia cohort took a language field trip with our language teacher, Katica, to Struga and Vevcani, a unique municipality in the territory of North Macedonia. Not only did they explore Vevcani’s rich cultural heritage, but they also had the valuable and unforgettable experience of wearing beautiful traditional clothes that carry centuries of history, symbolizing everything from territorial roots to family status. Each piece tells a story, passed down through generations. Live music performance was also held at the premises of the cultural and artistic society Drimkol in Vevcani.
