Macedonian folklore concert

A few months ago, the YES Abroad cohort got a taste of Macedonian folklore by visiting the Drimkol Organization in Vevchani.

Drimkol invited the cohort to their concert, where they performed in Skopje along with the Blazevski Folklore Group. Students Abby, Bella, and Rachel witnessed the two groups sing, play instruments such as the accordion and flute, and perform oros and other complex dances, all in traditional Macedonian attire. Not only did the students have fun at the concert, but they also learned about Macedonian folklore and history.
