Career connections with Senior Alumni

In December 2021, nine alumni from North Macedonia organized a career orientation for 30 high school students, in collaboration with the American Corner. Divided into nine groups, the students rotated and consulted with each alumnus/a, who gave a six-to-seven-minute presentation. The overachieving senior alumni are currently professionals in the fields of biochemistry, biology, ecology, architecture, medicine, air traffic control, IT, business, economics, law, and project management.

We also invited the students to enroll in the American Corner so they can participate in future activities and borrow books. At the end of the event, the participants and alumni celebrated the connections that they had made with snacks and free time for more questions.

One student shared their impression of the event, saying, "I had a great time and the opportunity to learn about different fields and opportunities for college.”
